Mama Bear & Sister Bear

Yes, yes I did just quote the Berenstain Bears and yes I did just title this post with their names. I've got three words for you... Hate. On. It. ;)

I know in the last blog I said that I would start posting twice a week, but let's face it... we all knew that was a little fib, so maybe we should just stick with twice a month? Or maybe even once a week? I'm not sure but we'll see where my fingertips go.

I had this bright idea to do a "realizations" blog, but I'll save that for a later date and today I'll update y'all on my life... since I just love talking about myself.

Here are a few pictures to assist in my post today... Enjoy!

YES Y'ALL, MY MOM AND SISTER CAME TO VISIT ME AGAIN!
AND YES Y'ALL, WE WENT TO CHICAGO!

I think the pictures help sum up just how amazing of a 6 days we had!
Let's start with...

Day 1 - They arrived around 10am and as soon as they got here my sister and I teamed up to cut and dye my mom's hair. (She might kill me for saying that, but face it mom, we all know you've got some greys!) That was definitely adventurous and required a trip to Sally's to get real cutting shears. Let's just say, I need to stop thinking I'm going to be a Cosmetologist one day and deal with the fact that it's just not going to happen. Anywho, after some naps and dinner, we went to the last Young Life of the year. Yes folks, I took my mom and sister to Young Life AND (get ready for this) even got them to help with two of the activities we had going on! More than thankful for their help! :) (too bad there aren't any pics from this day/night)

Day 2 - After a little bi of doing nothing all day, we went out to dinner to PF Changs. (see first collage above for awesome pics)!

Day 3 - My mom, sister, and I went to breakfast with my bestfriend Sydney at Bob Evans. Let's just say that Bob Evans is delicious and their hot chocolate is to die for. No really, it is! Try it for yourself. After breakfast, we went to get massages at Massage Envy. First REAL massage ever and it was amazing! After massages and getting ready, we went to the grocery store because my church was doing an urgent food drive so we went and got stuff to contribute. Then we had dinner at Golden Corral, oh boy do I love a buffet especially with a dessert bar/chocolate fountain! <3

Day 4 - CHICAGO! Woohoo, just look at the pictures. Can't even explain how amazing of a day this was. It could have been warmer, but who's complaining. It was my second time going and I'm so glad I could go again and show my mom and sister how amazing of a place it is! I'm also very thankful to have Sydney and her family there with us! They're Chicago experts and literally know everything about it! :)

Day 5 - MOTHER'S DAY/MY BIRTHDAY! After a late night drive back, we still got up early to go to church and praise Jesus! I was more than excited to show my mom and sister where I go to church and SUPER excited because it was baby dedication Sunday. :) After church, my sister and I made breakfast for my mom. She was super thankful for it! After letting our bellies rest and getting all dolled up again, my sister, Sydney, and I went to Latitude 39 to just celebrate being 22 and also have a blast being kids again! :)

Day 6 - Booooooooo, their last day..... OF COURSE WE WENT SHOPPING! And then that night we went downtown so I could show them around! Super blast of a day!

Day 7 - After brunch with Sydney and Miss Robin, it was time for them to pack up and head back to South Dakota. Sad day. :(

As you can tell from the pics and my awesome  amazing descriptions, their time here was more than amazing! <3 & I am thankful!

Since then, I haven't done TOO many exciting things, that trip from them was literally the highlight of my month! :)

Well, my hands are tired and my fingers hurt and I also need to get ready for Noblesville High School graduation, so that's it for today folks! :)

Thanks for reading!
Have a great weekend! <3

May the 4th be with you...

Who am I kidding...?
I've never even watched Star Wars!

I just kept seeing it on Facebook today so I felt like it was the perfect title for this blog. Shoot. Me. Now.

Now on to the reason why I'm writing this blog tonight, at 11:30...
I've missed writing about my wonderful life so I feel the need to just explain the excitement that I have for this coming month...
SO many great things have already happened and there are even more to come!

Let's start with May First...
I got free tickets to see Third Day, Josh Wilson, and Colton Dixon from my neighbor and let's be honest here; I was more excited to see Colton Dixon than anyone else because... well you'll see later.. :)
The seats were great and the entire concert was AMAZING! I'm so thankful for the free tickets and even more so for the people that were able to go with me last minute. Here are a few pics of the night..

And here's my absolute FAVORITE picture from the night...

Because, let's face it, Colton Dixon is just beautiful. (insert emoji with hearts for eyes)

Now on to May Second...
Noblesville YoungLife had Clubble (club in a bubble) and I'll just let the pictures explain how amazing of an event this was...

Oh and can't forget the fact that while the girls were finishing picking up, I find Matt and Mike like this..

Obviously, you missed out and a really fun event. Too bad we had to tear it down. (insert depressed emoji here)

After Clubble, I spent the evening with two super sweet girls!

And yup, that's probably one of the only times you've ever seen me on a golf cart, let alone at a golf match. So SNAPS for me for my first golf match! :)

OH AND BEFORE I FORGET, it was also my dad's birthday, he turned 51. SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OLD MAN!

May Third...
Nothing super significant happened on this day, but I was pretty productive! Finished most of my homework/papers/junk and had a movie night with Whitney. :)

May the Fourth be with you....
I completed one of two finals (bring on the cheering) and I'm just about positive that I received a 100 percent on it. I'll go ahead and bow now while you give me a round of applause. Thank you, thank you. I also got to hang out with my bestfriend Sydney, whom I haven't seen in too darn long. We live in the same city but our schedules have been too different the past couple of weeks. I literally MISSED her, but thankful for the time that I've gotten to spend with her.

Needless to say, I'm excited for this month.
My 22nd birthday is in a week, my mom and sister will be here in less than 4 days, and SO much more.

I've made a goal since life is slowing down... I'll blog at least twice a week so get ready, folks, it's going to be a GOOD month!

Stay blessed.<3
PEACE AND BLESSINGS, had to. ;)

Why the sudden wake up call....

Since moving to Indiana, I have been telling myself that I need to get into better shape. So, I figured that since I was moving I would have no distractions to becoming a healthier person and living a healthier lifestyle...
However, I was still struggling with this after I moved. I felt like I was becoming more and more lazy. I don't know if that just had to do with the fact that I moved where I knew no one and I was starting to feel alone or what, but being lazy was taking a toll on me. I needed a change.

In November I told myself that I was going to get a gym membership when the first of the year came. Well January 1st came and went. After I got back from my trip to South Dakota, I was feeling like I really needed to do something about myself. So February 12th, I went to Lifetime Fitness, talked to the cutest guy (maybe ever) and signed up for a gym membership!

As most of you may know, I've never really felt "bad" about myself. I've never been the person to sit and mope about my weight or be depressed because I'm "fat" or any of the sort. I've also never really been "unhappy" with myself, and to this day, I'm still not unhappy with myself. My personality and love for God is much bigger than my outside appearance and I know that people can see that. I'm actually quite confident in who I am and I've always had the mentality of "take it or leave it." Mostly because I wasn't changing for anyone at all.

But why the sudden wake up call?
I can't exactly answer why and I think that has to do with the fact that I still don't know. But I can answer that I'm just tired of always feeling tired and being lazy. I've watched and I've seen too many people waste their life by sitting on the couch doing nothing, so I've decided that I just really don't want to be one of those people. Not that it's horrible to do that because if you're happy doing it, by all means keep doing it. I just knew that I wasn't going to be happy about it so I decided to change that.

I'm not a "fitness expert" but I'm trying to be healthier. I've stopped going out to eat for every meal and I've cut down a lot on going out to eat. If I do go, I try to get something healthier than a burger and fries. I've also changed a few things about my daily routine. I used to never eat breakfast, but now I do. I make NO EXCUSES and just do it. I drink a lot more water now, which is obviously key to staying hydrated. I've also stopped making up excuses as to why I can't do something. My whole life I feel like I constantly have made up excuses to why I am the way I am, but now I've finally realized that it's my fault and only I can fix it!

My ultimate goal you may ask...?
To be healthy. I don't have a goal of how much weight I want to lose and I don't have a specific size that I want to be. I just want to be healthy. I want to be able to run for more than 10 feet, I want to be able to walk up a flight of stairs without feeling winded, I want to be able to wake up every morning with energy and excitement to start my day. If I lose weight in the process of all of this, GREAT! But if I don't and I can still accomplish the goals I want, I'M FINE WITH THAT.

I'm doing a 5K this summer and I don't care how the heck I finish it (running, walking, crawling, rolling, skipping, whatever) I will do it and I know I'll feel so great after I do it! BUT I did tell myself that out of the 3.1 miles a 5K is, I will be able to run at least 1 of those.

I have a great support system and couldn't thank my family and friends enough for helping me with this goal and being so supportive! :)

That's all for today, folks.
Thanks for reading.<3

Two blogs in one day....man this is a record!

Can't shake the feeling...

So the title has absolutely nothing to do with what I plan to talk about in this blog, I really just wanted to throw you off. Hope it worked!

It's been awhile since I've written, I've just been insanely busy!
Since I've been MIA, a lot has happened!

Towards the end of January, I took a trip to South Dakota to surprise my mom! Link to the video is here.
My sister and I planned it for literally 3 months. It was one of the most relaxing, fun, and enjoyable trips I've had in a long time. You know those trips where you don't have anything planned and just take everyday one day at a time? Yeah, that was mine! Absolutely perfect! Here are a few pictures from that trip....

Needless to day, my trip was AMAZING!

February ended up being a really great month for me! Young Life started up and on February 12th, I got a gym membership to Lifetime Fitness! Even though it costs me $63/month, it's literally worth every penny! (see next blog for more details on my progress of working out)

March has been pretty much amazing to me! Even though the weather doesn't feel like spring, I still love knowing the fact that it is finally spring!
So far, 2013 has been full of great things for me and I'm excited to see what the rest of the year has to bring!

Check out my next blog for more excitement in my life!<3

That's all for this one, folks!

Two truths & a lie...

So as most of you know, I've started my second semester of college! Boy, am I excited!!! :)

I can't even express to you all how much I'm loving school. Taking 3 years off was probably the BEST idea I've ever had because unlike most people, I am EXCITED to go to school and SO PUMPED to do homework!

Speaking of homework, this morning I logged into my online class (Creative Writing) to see what I was up against. Now most of my friends know that if you give me anything that has to do with writing, I am SO NOT going to be excited about it and I probably won't take it seriously. I took English 111 last semester and even though I passed, I definitely was not too happy to be taking it. Writing is just not my forte. I am all about math and science!! So WHY I decided to take this creative writing class, out of all my choices, is beyond me! However, I realized today why I'm taking it. I LOVE TO BLOG! I love to write about random things. I enjoy babbling about my life and things I've been through.

As I was looking at my homework for this class, I saw that we had to do a discussion board regarding two truths and a lie about ourselves and next week our peers would be guessing which two are truths and which is a lie. For some reason I had the hardest time coming up with a lie, and I'm not sure why. I think it's because I just couldn't make something up and have it sound believable. So I came up with this...

I am 21 years old and I have 4 kids. They are the happiest bunch of kids and they warm my heart just by smiling! They're all so different, but so much alike. I absolutely love spending time with them!

Now let me break this down for you...
I REALLY am 21 years old.
I do NOT have 4 kids, but I DO nanny 4 kids!
They truly are happy kids and they definitely warm my heart when they smile. :)
They really are super different, but have some similarities.
I DO love spending time with them.

I'm not sure if it was ALL supposed to be a lie, but as you can tell... I'm horrible with lies! I couldn't even tell a WHOLE lie. Only one thing wasn't true!

So crazy.
I dare you to try it yourself. See if you can come up with two truths and a lie about yourself and I'd love for you to share them with me and I'll try to figure them out! :) I CHALLENGE YOU!

That's all, folks.<3
HAPPY JANUARY!

Where in the world have I been is the real question here, huh?!

 January:
Well now that all of my favorite shows have returned, school hasn't started quite yet, and Young Life hasn't started, I've been updating my music religiously and listening to my Beatz headphones like crazy. Along with that, I've been extrememly lazy after work and watching my laptop like a hawk. :)

I really just want to leave you all with this....
Greater things are still to come and greater things are still to be done..... think about it. :)
